- Reviews and ratings: feedback you submit about contractors or your experience on the Platform
Information collected automatically
When you visit and interact with the Platform, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
- Device information: IP address, browser type, operating system, and unique device identifiers
- Usage information: pages visited, time spent on pages, links clicked, referring URLs, and other browsing behavior on the Platform
- Location information: general location derived from your IP address; precise geolocation only if you grant permission through your device settings

- Social media platforms, if you choose to connect or interact with QuoteFlash through those platforms
We may combine information we collect directly from you with information from these third-party sources to provide and improve the Platform.

- Matching homeowners with contractors: sharing your project details with relevant local contractors who may be interested in your work
- Operating and improving the Platform: maintaining, analyzing, and enhancing Platform features and user experience

- Marketing and promotions: sending you information about QuoteFlash services, new features, or special offers — you may opt out at any time
- Financing referrals: connecting you with financing partners based on your project inquiry, where applicable
- Contractor vetting: verifying contractor licenses, insurance, and background information
- Fraud prevention and security: detecting, investigating, and preventing unauthorized access, fraud, and other harmful activity

Contractor data
If you register as a contractor on the Platform, we collect and display your business information publicly on your contractor profile, including your business name, service categories, service area, license information, and reviews received from homeowners.
We may conduct background checks and license verifications using third-party providers. You authorize us to use your personal and business information for these purposes when you register.
We may monitor and record communications between contractors and homeowners made through the Platform for fraud prevention, quality assurance, and Platform improvement purposes.
Lead purchase activity, including which leads you receive and your response patterns, may be used internally to improve lead matching and Platform performance.
Financing referrals & data sharing
When you submit a financing inquiry through the Platform, QuoteFlash acts as a marketing lead generator — not a lender. We will share your contact information, project details, and any other information you provide with one or more financing partners who may be able to offer relevant financing products.
You understand and agree that:
- Financing partners may contact you by phone, email, or text regarding financing options
- Financing partners may obtain a soft credit inquiry in connection with your request, which does not affect your credit score
- Hard credit inquiries may occur only when you formally apply with a financing partner directly
- Financing partners' use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one
- QuoteFlash may receive compensation from financing partners for referrals
Analytics & interest-based advertising
We use third-party analytics tools, including Google Analytics, to understand how the Platform is used and to improve our services. These tools may collect information about your browsing behavior on the Platform using cookies and similar technologies.
We may also use third-party advertising services to serve you relevant advertisements about QuoteFlash on other websites and platforms. These services use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to collect information about your interactions with the Platform and other websites across your devices.
You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on. For interest-based advertising, you may opt out through the Digital Advertising Alliance or Network Advertising Initiative opt-out tools.
Please note that opting out of interest-based advertising does not mean you will stop seeing QuoteFlash ads — it means those ads will not be tailored to your browsing behavior.
Cookies & tracking technologies
We and our third-party partners use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar tracking technologies on the Platform for the following purposes:
- Essential cookies: required for the Platform to function, including keeping you logged in and remembering your preferences

You may also use your browser's "Do Not Track" setting, though we do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals as there is no uniform standard for them.

Children's privacy
The Platform is not intended for or directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a minor, we will delete it promptly. Security
